About Our Initiative
Empowering Sikkim's communities through civic engagement
What We Do
"What Sikkimese Want!" is a community-led movement where citizens identify and advocate for essential public amenities. We bring together volunteers and local leaders to document needs and submit proposals to authorities for libraries, community centers, water facilities, and more.
Our Mission
To create a transparent, inclusive platform where every Sikkimese voice matters in shaping the future of our state's infrastructure and public amenities. We believe that communities know their needs best, and our role is to amplify those voices and facilitate action.
How We Work
- Citizens submit requests for amenities needed in their communities
- Volunteers verify and document each request through ground surveys
- We compile requests and advocate with authorities on behalf of communities
- Everyone can track the progress of their requests in real-time
- District-wise Telegram groups keep communities informed
Get Involved
Whether you want to submit a request, volunteer your time, or simply stay informed about community initiatives in your district, we welcome your participation.
